A Classified ad is the traditional Trading Post® ad where buyers contact sellers by phone to discuss the item.
About Classifieds
- The seller’s contact details appear within their ad.
- Classified items can’t be purchased online
- You can’t place bids on a Classified ad.
Advantages of buying with Classifieds
- Negotiate directly with buyers by phone or in person.
- You can arrange to inspect the item before you buy.
- Make arrangements directly with the seller to get the item delivered or to pick it up.
Common questions
- How does the feedback & ratings system work for Classified items?
You can’t leave feedback & ratings for sales from a Classified ad (whether you’re the buyer or the seller). If the seller has bought or sold on Trading Post®, with Buy Now or Auction you can view their feedback & ratings for those transactions. - Can I negotiate on the price?
It’s up to you and the seller to strike a deal that you’re both happy with.
