How to search

Keyword search

If you know what you're looking for, use our Search box at the top of the homepage or under the Search tab. You can use keywords (common words or phrases) to find what you're after.

• Use common terms or abbreviations that describe the item you are looking for (eg 10 speed bicycle, LCD TV, Ford Fairlane). Remember to select a state as well.
• Limit the number of words you type into the search box. If you use too many words, you may get fewer search results.
• Once you have a list of search results, you can narrow down your search further using the Refine Options (see below).
• Search by Ad Number. Type “adnumber” and then the actual ad number into the Search bar. (eg. adnumber: TP2312995529).

Browse

Like window-shopping, this is the perfect way to go if you're not exactly sure what you're looking for and you want to have a look around.

1. Simply click any of our top categories displayed across the homepage, or click View all categories to view every category or sub-category we have.
2. From the category page, simply select the item type you’re interested in to get a list of items.
3. You can then use Refine options (see below) if you’d like to restrict your search further.
   
   

Quick Finder

Our Quick Finders can help you locate a range of items within a category with particular features or attributes.

1. Once you select any of our categories from the homepage, you’ll be taken to a category page, or shown search results for that category.
2. You can then use the options in the Quick Finder to search for items with particular features or attributes specific to that category.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   

Once you have a list of search results you can control the way the search results display and refine your search further to narrow down the results.

Sort your search results

• Use the tabs above the search results to display only Auction listings, Buy Now listings or Classified ads.
• Ads automatically display according to the time they have left. Use Sort by or click on the column headings to sort the items differently.

Refine your search results

Once you've got some initial search results, you can refine your search. Use as many options as you like to narrow down your search. Refining options differ for each category, but some common ones enable you to:

Specify the item’s condition. Search for particular words or phrases within results. You can search for or exclude certain keywords- for tips read search FAQs. Specify a maximum and/ or minimum price. Indicate a year of manufacture, or kilometres travelled (for auto categories) Narrow your search to a specific location. Specify a Seller Type, whether Private seller, Business/Dealer and/or Verified TradersVertified Trader

Save your search

Got the search right but didn’t find exactly what you were looking? Save the search criteria as a favourite search to save yourself time next time you want to search for the same item.
