Viewing an ad
There can be a lot of information to understand in an ad- here’s how to make sense of it all!
Viewing the search results
When you search for an item, the ads that match your search criteria display in a search results list.
The search results list provides a short summary about each item – the type of sale (ad), asking price or current bid, item location, time left and a thumbnail photo if one is available.
Change how the search results appear by:
- using the Sort by: drop-down or clicking on the column heading.
- refining your search using the Finder tool.
Viewing the ad
All the information that the seller has provided about their item can be found in their ad, including:
- the asking price or current bid
- where the item is located
- its condition, and
- how much longer it will be listed on Trading Post
Tabs
The following tabs may appear at the bottom of the ad. These will provide you with more detailed information about the item, the seller and any payment & delivery details.
- Payment & Delivery
Payment & delivery are often important factors when working out if you want to buy and how much you are willing to pay. Remember delivery costs may added to the purchase price. - Specifications
Specific details and features about the item. - Seller Feedback
Get to know the seller by checking out how other Trading Post® members have found their transactions with this person. - Questions & Answers
Trading Post® allows buyers to ask for more information about the item. Often the seller will publish questions and answers for the benefit of potential buyers who may be asking the same thing. - Bidding History (Auctions)
See who’s bidding and how much they’ve bid since the start of the Auction.

Save an ad so you can come back to it quickly later. - Email to a friend
If you know someone who might be interested in buying something you’ve seen on Trading Post® you can email the ad directly to them. - Add seller to favourites
