Although we’ve worked hard to make selling simple, we know that at times you may hit a ‘speedbump’ when managing your cars, truck, bikes and boats.

To make your experience with us as ‘cruisy’ as possible, we’ve put together the following tips.

Car

Why can’t I find a specific car in AdCentral?

Firstly, consider the following questions:

  • Is the vehicle non standard?
  • Has it been modified or imported or known by another model name?
The vehicle model may need to be added to AdCentral.

Contact your account manager or 1800 810 514 with the details of your vehicle.

I found the car in AdCentral but see the error “master category can not be found”. What does this mean?

Some vehicles require a variant to be entered (for example, BMW and Volvo).

Try entering a variant.

If you still experience a problem contact your account manager or 1800 810 514 with the details of your vehicle.

I’ve found the car I’m looking for listed in AdCentral, but there are details missing. Why?

The vehicle may be one that Trading Post® has added to the industry standard list.

You can add data into the Dealer or Standard Features fields on the Features tab.

Motorbike

Why can’t I find a specific motorbike in AdCentral?

  • Is the motorbike an import or is the bike known by another name?

    If so, try using the Other Make/Model tick box on the new vehicle screen.

  • Have you selected the incorrect engine size in the ‘model’ dropdown box?

    Confirm the engine size. If correct, try using the Other Make/Model tick box on the new vehicle screen.

  • I cannot find a particular Motorbike except when doing a keyword search. Why?

    The make and model of your vehicle may not currently be listed as an option on tradingpost.com.au. Contact your account manager or 1800 810 514 with the details of your vehicle.

General

Why doesn’t the ‘year’ field contain ‘2010’ as a value?

The industry standard is based on the build year rather than the model year.

  • Is the option of ‘MY10’ (model year 2010) available in the Series field?
    If so, use the Series field to select the model year. Or, if listing a motorbike, use the Other Make/Model tickbox.

Why are there pictures missing from the site?

Either the photos have not been uploaded to AdCentral, or a third party provider hasn’t sent your photos onto tradingpost.com.au.

If possible, please gather at least two stock numbers and contact your account manager or 1800 810 514.

I’ve just replaced my pictures but nothing has updated on line yet. Why?

Removing and replacing old photos may take up to four hours. Please note that this is not the case for new ad photos as they will appear within one hour.

If the pictures are not appearing after four hours, please provide at least two stock numbers and contact your account manager or 1800 810 514.

Why can’t I see my suburb?

Locations are organised by regions based on the Australia Post™ local government codes.

When you search by Dealer the region will appear as the location. When users select a region close to them they will then see your suburb.
