Why is Trading Post not accepting my international credit card?
We don’t accept most international credit cards for security reasons. We accept the following Australian-based credit cards:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- American Express
- Diners Club.
Note: For security purposes, Trading Post® doesn’t store complete credit card numbers.
Can I change my username?
No. You can’t change your username for security purposes. You can make changes to your:
- password
- secret question
- personal information – name, credit card details, phone numbers, address, email.

How do I post a question in the Community forums?
Contributing to the Community discussion forums is a great opportunity to ask questions of the community about your favourite topics, or buying & selling online.
To post your own question, click on the Community link on the homepage to enter the Community page.
Click on Discussion Forums and select the topic you’re interested in. From there you can read or respond to posts from other members, add a new question of your own.
I’ve received unfair feedback. How can I respond?
If you consider feedback you’ve received to be unfair, try to resolve the issue by contacting the other member. If you can both come to an agreement, you may request an Agreed Feedback Withdrawal to have the feedback removed and your rating recalculated if necessary.
Why can’t I send feedback for the Classified item I have bought?
For feedback to be valuable, it needs to reflect how a buyer and seller managed a transaction, especially since they don’t actually meet. Since Classified ad transactions don’t occur online, it can be difficult for us to know if and when a transaction has taken place. To ensure our site remains a trusted place to trade, feedback is only collected for those transactions that we facilitate. So for now, we only allow feedback to be exchanged for sales through Buy Now ads and Auctions.
A buyer has left me a message. How do I respond?
Responding to a buyer’s question is a great way to provide additional information on your item, and you can post your answer to your ad online so other potential buyers can view it as well.
Remember, you can only respond once to a buyer’s question so make sure you provide them with all the information they need to make a decision about purchasing your item.
