Help: How to edit your ad

You can make a few changes to your ad to help improve your chances of selling your item.

Rules still apply to what changes and edits you can make to your listing. See edit ads and renewing online Classifieds ads for more details.

Editing your ad details

  1. Title
Your ad title helps buyers find your item when they.re searching or scanning the search results pages. Look at other ads to see how other buyers have described an item similar to yours to see if you can improve your title
  2. Subtitle
Subtitles are used (along with ad titles) when buyers search for items using common words or phrases. Providing a short description in your subtitle helps buyers find your item. Again look at other ads for ideas on how to improve your subtitle.

If you want something extra to encourage buyers to look at your ad, consider selecting a Get Noticed package so you can display your subtitle under your ad title in search results.
  3. Description.
Add as much detail as you can to help buyers make an informed decision. This includes mentioning any flaws or faults. Read our tips on writing a great ad.
  4. Be honest. Buyers are more likely to buy an item with faults they know about than an item with a patchy description.
  5. If you like, you can show buyer how many people view your ad selecting the checkbox.
Counters appear at the bottom of your ad and count the number of visits to your ad. They can be viewed by you and potential buyers.
