When can I renew my ad?

You can renew your Classified ad 7 days before it expires.

• You’ll have 7 days to renew your ad.
• You can make changes to your ad details when you renew it.
• You won’t be able to renew your ad once it expires.

Business advertising
If you're displaying your ads as a business, Classified ads have a duration of 4 weeks and can't be renewed. You can re-list your item as a new ad (with new fees) after the 1 week duration.

What changes can I make to my ad?

You might increase your chances of selling your item if you:

• add your maximum number of pictures
  Increase the appeal of your item or provide extra detail that’s hard to describe with words.
  
• change the description of the item
  Make improvements or add more detail to give buyers extra information. Use common phrases or words to help buyers find your item.
  
• lower the price
  Appeal to a wider range of buyers by asking for less.
  
• upgrade your ad package
  Help buyers find your item by making your ad stand out. Upgrading your ad to a Get Noticed package will incur additional fees.

Depending on which ad package you selected, you may make the following changes.

Increasing the selling price in your ad

To change the category, ad type or to increase your selling price, you’ll need to cancel your ad and relist a new one.

Note: You’ll need to pay fees for your new ad.

Is there a fee for renewing my ad?

It's free to renew the same classified ad through My Tading Post.

If you would like to make changes to your ad most of these are free, but you'll be charged a fee to upgrade your ad package.

Any changes that incur costs will be charged to your registered credit card when you save the changes.

How do I renew my ad?

Renewing your Classified ad is easy

1. Sign in to Ad Tools and go to Active ads.
2. Ads eligible for renewal will display a Renew Ad button. Click this to renew your ad.
3. Make your changes and click Checkout.
   
   Note: you won't be able to change the category or increase your selling price.
4. After you’ve finished editing your ad, check your Preview ad carefully before you click Pay Now & Submit to publish your revised ad.

Changes that incur costs, such as upgrading your ad to a Get Noticed package will be charged to your registered credit card when you submit the ad.

Common questions

• What if my Classified ad has expired?
  Expired Classified ads can't be renewed. If you want to re-publish your expired ad, you need to relist it and pay the fees for placing a new ad.
• Can I change my ad to a Buy Now or Auction?
  No. To change the ad type, category or to increase your selling price, you'll need to cancel your ad and pay the fees for relisting a new ad.
• Can I renew an Auction or Buy Now listing?
  No. If you’d like to run your Auction or Buy Now listing again, you can relist it.
