What is a Trading Post® Hotlist?

Trading Post® Hotlist is designed specifically for retailers and auto dealers who regularly have multiple listings on tradingpost.com.au.

Your Hotlist is a fully branded online showroom of your inventory on tradingpost.com.au. It allows buyers to see everything you're advertising from the one spot, in addition to finding your ads individually throughout the site.

Benefits

  • Your business, your brand - You determine the look of your Hotlist by designing your own standard Header and Footer.
  • Update your listings - Update your listings easily as your inventory changes.
  • List up to 250 items - Got a lot to sell? You can list up to 250 items on your tradingpost.com.au Hotlist.
  • Marketing your business - Provide a direct link from your Yellow Online Solution to your Hotlist, and from your Hotlist to your own website.
  • Include photos of your items - Do it yourself or ask one for one of our professional Trading Post® Photographers to take care of it for you.
  • Comprehensive reporting - Trading Post® provides you with a comprehensive set of reports to help you can measure the success of your ad or campaign and the return on your investment.

Trading Post® offers two Hotlist packages so you can choose the one that best suits your business needs.

How much does it cost? Rates may vary depending on:
  • the state in which you are advertising
  • the package you choose
  • in some cases, how many ads you place each week.

Self Service or Fully Managed

When you sign-up for your Hotlist, you can choose to manage your own Hotlist or have Trading Post® manage it for you.

Self Service model
This model gives you the flexibility to manage and update your Hotlist any time it suits you. You do everything from sourcing the photos and writing the descriptions of your inventory, to publishing your ads yourself on tradingpost.com.au.

We have a range of publishing tools available to Self Service advertisers, all of which are practical and easy to use. A Trading Post® Operations Tech Support Officer will talk to you about an appropriate one for your business and organise a time to install and set up the software for you.

Fully Managed model
This model allows you to email or fax your Hotlist changes to Trading Post® once a week for us to update for you. You can either supply your own photos or make an appointment with a Trading Post® Photographer who will take them on your behalf.

Things you may be wondering

How can buyers purchase from my Hotlist?
The Enquire Now tool allows buyers to communicate with you by email, SMS or phone to:

  • find out more about an item you're selling, or
  • organise purchase and delivery.

And as your address can be published in each of your Hotlist ads, interested buyers can also drop in to your store to speak to someone in person.

How can buyers find my Hotlist?
Buyers can access your Hotlist:

  • by clicking on one of your ads on their search
    results page, or
  • by browsing by Dealer or Retailer.

Can I get reports on how my Hotlist is working?
Trading Post® monitors traffic throughout the site and can provide you with a range of reports to help you measure how effective your Hotlist is.

How to purchase a Trading Post ® Hotlist

Call 1800 810 514 to speak to a Commercial Online Support team member. They will explain the features and benefits of each package and help you determine the best one for your business, and whether a Self Service or Fully Managed model would suit you most.

Before you purchase

  • Hotlist ads must comply with Trading Post® Terms of Use, including the rules on Prohibited Content.
  • You must ensure that you can service the particular state and category in which your Hotlist is to appear. Trading Post® may remove your Hotlist or your ads if you are unable to effectively do so.
  • You are obliged to keep your Hotlist current and reflective of your genuine stock for sale.
