Help: Rights & responsibilities

This is all important legal stuff that you agree to when you register as a user. We’ve provided a bit of a summary below, but you really should read the Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Your rights

Privacy

We need to collect personal information from everyone who registers to use tradingpost.com.au. This is to protect you, us and everyone else using our site.

The first thing you’re probably wondering is who we give your information to. Rest assured that we will never pass your information on to third parties… including telemarketers.

We may, however, share your details with:

  • related companies within the Sensis group of companies to help us provide better services on our site and for other purely business-related purposes
  • a member you buy from or sell to (if you are a bit slack about responding to them yourself) so they can try to contact you to finalise the transaction.

If at any time you want to access personal information that we hold about you, you are perfectly entitled to, provided we still hold information about you.

Details about how to exercise your rights are outlined in our Privacy Policy, as are all the ins and outs about how we manage personal information. Have a squiz if you want more info than we’ve provided here.

Inappropriate material

While it is our right to withdraw or alter inappropriate material (including photos, text, or complete ads), it is your right to know if that material was yours.

Trading Post® will tell you if we remove or change any material you provide us. We may do this if:

  • the material is considered inappropriate or breaches our Terms of Use, the Trading Ideas Guidelines, any law or third party rights
  • we are instructed to do so by any third party.

Your responsbilities
