Help: Credit card security
Secure payment processing
All credit card payments made via a Trading Post transaction are processed using SSL (Secured Sockets Layer).
Don’t get too bogged down in the jargon. SSL simply refers to the process of encrypting information to be sent over the internet. It’s a standard protocol used to deal with confidential information.
When SSL is active this
padlock displays in the status bar of your browser to indicate that you’re in a secure environment.
Secure storage of your credit card details
We're not credit card security gurus and we don't pretend to be. Instead, we use Payflow, a product of PayPal Private Limited, to look after credit card security for us. We don't even keep a record of your credit card number. Once we collect your credit card details, the number is passed directly on to PayPal.
PayPal is a leading provider of online payment services. They make it possible for organisations like us to provide secure environments for people to communicate and transact online. If you'd like to know more about them, visit www.paypal.com.au
International credit cards
Trading Post members must be residents of Australia. Therefore, we will not accept most international credit cards.
