Tips to keeping your profile secure

  1. Never include your username or password in an email.
  2. Check the website address of the site you’re on, particularly before you enter your password or personal information.

Genuine Trading Post® pages always start with or https://www.tradingpost.com.au (for secure areas of the site).

If you’re not sure you’ve linked to a genuine Trading Post® site:
    • Open another browser window.
    • Type www.tradingpost.com.au into the address field.
    • Then navigate your way through the site to where you want to go.
  3. Beware of Phishing (spoof) emails asking you to confirm or provide personal details.
Trading Post® will never send you an email asking you to confirm or update your personal details.
  4. Avoid using publicly-shared computers to trade and transact online.
Public computers, such as those at internet cafes or libraries, may retain your personal information, which then becomes available to other people using them. It’s important to use only a trusted and secure computer to access sites such as the Trading Post®, your bank, and any sites where you may use your credit card.
  5. Change your password regularly.
  6. Don’t use the same password for your Trading Post® profile as you do for other sites.
  7. Create a strong password that contains a combination of numbers and letters
This will make it harder for others to guess.
  8. If you think your profile or password have been compromised, change your password immediately and contact our Trading Post Online team
