The Buying section of your Ad Tools allows you to manage and keep track of:

• items of interest
• items are bidding on
• items you have bought or won
• items you didn’t win.

Outlined below is a guide on how to use the Buying section of Ad Tools.

Buying Summary

To access your Buying Summary, simply click the Ad Tools tab and sign in.

Here you can see an Overview of buying and selling activity.
The Buying Summary allows easy access to:

• ‘ending soon’ items
  You may want to place a bid or buy these items as the ad is about to end.
• Items won/bought
  Carry out the next step – checkout, payment or send feedback – to complete the sale for the item you’re purchasing.

Bidding on

Use Bidding on to place bids on the Auctions where you’ve been outbid or monitor the Auctions where you're the highest bidder.

Use your Buying Summary to easily find:

• Winning Auctions ending soon
  Keep an eye on these to make you’re not outbid at the last minute or to complete checkout when you win the auction.
• Auctions you’ve been outbid on
  You may want to place a last-minute bid on items where you’ve been outbid. See how to place bids.

To view a history of bids you or other members have placed on an item, select the item and click the Bidding History tab. See viewing an ad for details.

Withdrawing bids
If you placed a bid and made an error with the amount you entered, see withdrawing bids for details on when it’s acceptable to recall your bid.

Bought or Won

After you’ve won an Auction or bought an item there are a number of steps to complete the sale. For a detailed description of these steps, see what to do next to complete your purchase.

Use your Buying Summary to easily find items:

• Awaiting checkout
  Now you’ve won an Auction or it’s time to complete checkout to let the seller know how you want to pay for and receive your new purchase by choosing from the seller’s options. Completing checkout to choose from the seller's payment and delivery options.
• Awaiting payment
  Once you’ve completed checkout, items are listed here to remind you that you need to pay for the item. After payment, find the item listed here and mark it as paid to notify the seller.
• Awaiting feedback
  These items have been sent or delivered by the seller. Provide feedback on a seller after you’ve received the items.

Didn’t win

Listed here are the Auctions you placed bids on but did not win.

You may want to view these items to:

• compare items you’re interested in
• buy a similar item
• sell a similar item.

Receiving 2nd Offers

A seller may send you a 2nd Offer via email after an Auction with an offer to buy an item you bid on but didn’t win but for which you weren't the successful bidder. To find how to accept or reject the seller’s offer to purchase the item see receiving 2nd Offers.

Items of interest

When you save an item you add it to your items of interest. From here you can easily track the sale of the item.

• Items of interest ending soon
  Look at ads you’ve saved and decide whether they’re what you’re after, at the price you want and decide whether to bid or buy.
