Help: Receiving 2nd Offers
Have you received an offer to buy something you missed out on the first time around? You’re in luck, as sellers can use 2nd Offers to sell their Auction items (at the price you bid) to non-winning bidders.
Always manage 2nd Offers by signing into your Ad Tools account. This will ensure that the offer is legitimately from another Trading Post member. Purchasing items outside tradingpost.com.au may be unsafe. If you are contacted to transact outside tradingpost.com.au please report the member to our Online Trading Post Team.
When can a seller send me a 2nd Offer?
A seller can send you a 2nd Offer if:
- the seller is unable to complete the sale with the winning bidder
- the highest bid didn’t reach the seller’s reserve price
- the seller is selling two identical items using the same auction listing.
2nd Offers can be sent and accepted for up to 30 days after your auction ends.
