Help: Feedback withdrawal

Buyers and sellers can withdraw feedback they have left for another trader on Trading Post® Online if both parties agree to the withdrawal.

About Feedback Withdrawals

  • When feedback is withdrawn, the feedback is removed and the member’s rating is recalculated.
  • Either the buyer or the seller can apply to withdraw feedback, however both parties must agree before it is withdrawn.
  • A request to withdraw feedback can be made only once. Therefore, the buyer and seller should communicate first to make sure both are in agreement before the request is made.
  • Feedback may be withdrawn within 120 days of the last feedback being provided.
  • A Feedback Withdrawal request must be accepted within 7 days. If, after 7 days, the request has not been accepted, it will be automatically rejected.
  • If a request to withdraw feedback is rejected, the buyer or seller may not apply again to have feedback withdrawn for the same item.
  • Once feedback has been withdrawn, the buyer and seller cannot provide feedback again for the same item.

How do I request a Feedback Withdrawal?

Requests for Feedback Withdrawal can be made only once per item, so before applying, it’s a good idea to contact the other party to sort out any unresolved matters and ensure they will agree to your request.

  • Go to the Feedback Withdrawal form.
  • You will need to enter:
    • the Item Number for the item for which you want to feedback withdrawn, and
    • a reason for having the feedback withdrawn.
  • Click Send Request and then OK to confirm your request.
  • An email will be sent to the other party.

How do I accept or reject a request for Feedback Withdrawal

You have 7 days to respond to a request for Feedback Withdrawal. Once you accept or reject the request, feedback cannot be provided again for that item.
Note: If you do not respond within 7 days, the request will automatically be rejected.

  1. Sign in to Ad Tools.
  2. Select the item listed in My Messages to view the message from the member who has requested feedback withdrawal.
  3. The member’s reason for requesting the withdrawal displays along with all feedback provided for the item.
  4. Indicate that you either agree or disagree with the request to withdraw feedback and then click Continue.
  5. The other member will be notified of your decision via email and all feedback and the associated rating will:
    • be removed if you agreed with the request
    • remain if you disagreed with the request.
