Help: Password & username

Forgotten your username or password? You’re in luck because retrieving these is easy!

When you created your Trading Post® profile you selected a secret question and provided an answer to it. Now simply answer the question and Trading Post® will email your username or a new password to you.

If you’ve forgotten both your username and password, you need to:

  1. retrieve your username, then
  2. create a new password.
Trading Post will never request confirmation of your password through an email.

Retrieve your username

It’s easy! – here’s how.

  1. Go to Step 1: What’s your email address?
  2. Enter your email address, click next.
  3. On Step 2 your secret question will display.
  4. Enter the answer to your secret question, click next.
  5. Your username is sent to your email address.
  6. Now Sign in with your username and password.

Remember to write your password down so you can easily sign in next visit.

Create a new password

Follow these simple steps to create a new password. Create a password you will remember and write it down so you can easily sign in next visit.

  1. Go to the Step 1: What’s your username?
  2. Enter your username, click next.
  3. On Step 2 your secret question will display.
  4. Enter the answer to your secret question, click next.
  5. A temporary password is sent to your email and the Forgotten Password – Sign in to Trading Post page will display.
  6. Find the temporary password in your email account.
  7. Enter your username & temporary password.
  8. You must now create a new password.

  9. Re-enter your new password.
  10. Click Sign In.

And you’re done! You now have a new password to sign in with every time you visit Trading Post®.

Common questions

  • Can I register more than once with Trading Post®?
    No. If you have previously registered with Trading Post® before you can not re-register.
  • I can’t remember my email address. What can I do?
    Try asking the email providers you’ve registered with in the past. If you can’t recall your email address Trading Post® will need to validate your identity.
  • I can’t remember the answer to my secret question. What can I do?
    If you can’t remember your answer Trading Post® will need to validate your identity.
  • How do I change my details with Trading Post®?
    You can sign in to Ad Tools anytime to update your details.
