How Tradingpost Works

FREE FREE FREEE   In Most Categories

Welcome to the new look and feel Tradingpost.com.au. We now have free ads for all. There is a placement fee required for cars, caravans, cats and dogs.  We also have a brand new set of products for you to make your ad stand out, our UPGRADES  work. We hope that you too will make some spare cash by selling your no longer used items.  When you place your ad you will notice there are some upgrades available that may help you to create a higher profile for your ad or maybe creating some excitement around it which hopefully results in a sale.  These upgrades are designed to get you more views and a quicker sale.  There are charges for these and you will use your master or visa card to purchase them.  All done online and easily using our very safe and reliable systems.  Thanks for using Tradingpost and good luck with all your sales.

Creating Your Ad

When you have something to sell we provide a space for you to place your ad just like we always have. To use the site to sell something you need to register and log on. You are then able to create an interesting ad about the item that you want to sell. Once you hit the submit button you have finished and we take over.

We check your ad

Your ad will be sent to our moderation team who will check and verify it. We all know that there are some dishonest people out there and our moderation team has a super success rate in finding them. They also double check for some common errors e.g. incorrect category or price. They may send your ad back for revision (you will be told by email) or call you to clarify something. Once your ad is verified it will be placed on the website for all to see.

Keeping safe

When buyers see your ad and want to contact you they can access your contact number or send you a message. Both avenues require a security clearance so we can try to keep you safe from online fraud. It is ultimately your responsibility to keep safe however we help as much as we can.

The Sale

Once you have been contacted and agreed on the sale you will need to be paid and the item handed to the new owner. Of course meeting the buyer/ seller is the best option with an exchange of payment at that time. Cash is best or a bank cheque. Take care and try not to transfer money unless you are absolutely sure it is safe. Now that you have completed the sale go back into the house or shed and find something else to sell. It was so easy.

Good Luck With Your Sales
