2008 subaru tribeca review

The 2008 Subaru Tribeca is a quirky seven-seater that tries to be posh but mostly nails “solid and sensible country GP.” The 3.6-litre flat-six is smooth and willing, but fuel economy is about as frugal as a footy trip—expect double digits per 100 km without trying. Ride comfort is plush, grip is classic Subaru sure-footed, and the cabin’s better screwed together than its odd dash suggests. The third row? For small humans or very forgiving in-laws only. As a used buy it’s generally reliable, but budget for thirsty habits, ageing infotainment, and the occasional suspension bush or wheel bearing—normal old-SUV fare.
