2014 toyota kluger review Page 4

The 2014 Toyota Kluger is the school-run bus that secretly wants a road trip, with a burly 3.5‑litre V6 and a smooth 6‑speed auto. It seats seven properly, not “two kids and a prayer,” and rides comfortably even on ordinary Aussie bitumen.

Expect about 10–11 L/100 km claimed, more if you drive like you’re late for footy; towing is a handy 2000 kg braked, and AWD models add peace of mind on wet weekends. Cabin tech feels a generation old now, but the fundamentals—space, reliability, and resale—are classic Toyota virtues, which is why used prices stay stubbornly proud in AUD.

If you don’t need diesel and you prize hassle-free ownership over fireworks, the Kluger is a deeply sensible choice that won’t scare your mechanic.
