2018 was the season of the new halo and old rivalries: 21 Grands Prix, with Lewis Hamilton taking the drivers’ title and Mercedes the constructors’. Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari kept it spicy early, until a few unforced errors (hello, Hockenheim) handed momentum to Hamilton. Daniel Ricciardo produced masterclasses in China and Monaco, while Kimi Räikkönen won in Austin just to prove he still does “ice cool.” We also got F1’s first triple‑header (France, Austria, Britain), the long goodbye to Fernando Alonso, and a midfield knife‑fight from Renault, Haas and Force India/Racing Point.
