2021 bt50 head unit upgrade Page 2

Upgrading the head unit on a 2021 Mazda BT-50 can inject some much-needed modernity into your cabin. The stock unit tends to be a bit... underwhelming, so swapping in an aftermarket system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is a popular move. Expect to pay anywhere from $300 to $800 AUD depending on features and brand—Alpine, Pioneer, and Kenwood are solid picks. Installation can be a DIY affair if you’re handy, but professional fitting through ServiceCentral or a local installer is recommended to avoid wiring nightmares. Keep in mind that some upgrades might void factory warranties or complicate steering wheel controls. Check Tradingpost or CarShowroom for second-hand units if you’re pinching pennies.
