2023 ford everest platinum review Page 4

The 2023 Ford Everest Platinum is the family chariot for people who think a school run should involve a V6 soundtrack and a commanding view of suburbia.

The 3.0‑litre turbo-diesel, 10‑speed auto and full‑time 4WD make easy work of towing up to 3,500 kg and long highway hauls, while the cabin piles on luxuries like the big portrait screen, plush trim and a premium audio system.

It rides and handles tidily for a ladder-frame wagon, but those 21-inch wheels can thump over sharp edges and the driver-assist tech can be a touch overprotective.

Third-row space is fine for kids, fuel economy rises in stop‑start traffic, and the price is very much top-shelf—think around the high‑$70ks before on-roads.

If you want a seven-seat tourer that feels a bit “business class” without pretending to be a city slicker, this is it; just budget for tyres and the occasional splash of diesel pride.
