2023 ranger engine Page 8

The 2023 Ford Ranger doesn’t muck about—there’s a spread of diesels and one spicy petrol if you fancy the hooligan spec.

Core models offer a 2.0‑litre single‑turbo diesel (125 kW/405 Nm, 6‑speed auto) or a 2.0‑litre Bi‑Turbo diesel (154 kW/500 Nm, 10‑speed auto).

Higher grades can pack a 3.0‑litre V6 turbo‑diesel (184 kW/600 Nm, 10‑speed auto) for effortless overtakes and towing bravado.

The Ranger Raptor trades diesel for a 3.0‑litre twin‑turbo petrol V6 (292 kW/583 Nm, 10‑speed auto) and a soundtrack that suggests you’ve misplaced your maturity.

Drivetrain tech varies by trim, but expect stout low‑down torque and proper 4x4 hardware where it counts.
