2023 ranger problems Page 8

It’s a cracking ute, but the 2023 Ranger isn’t immune to a few first-year gremlins.

Commonly reported issues include:

• SYNC 4A infotainment freezing or rebooting; dealer software updates usually calm it down.
• Jerky or hesitant shifts from the 10-speed auto, often improved with a reset or updated transmission calibration.
• AdBlue/DPF warnings on lots of short trips; a proper regen drive and fresh software usually sorts it.
• Over-protective driver-assist alerts or sensor hiccups (mud, a new windscreen) that need cleaning or recalibration.

Check your VIN for recalls with Ford Australia, keep the software current, and get a thorough inspection if buying used—then enjoy the torque and stop doomscrolling.
