2023 subaru outback fuel type Page 3

Short version: the 2023 Subaru Outback runs on petrol (unleaded).

The 2.5‑litre models are happy on 91 RON regular unleaded, while the turbocharged Outback XT prefers 95 RON premium. There’s no diesel or hybrid Outback in Australia for 2023, so no need to go hunting for pumps marked anything exotic. If you want to keep it purring like a contented kelpie, stick to the recommended octane and decent servo fuel. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
