In 2023 the Tokyo Motor Show returned with a new badge—the Japan Mobility Show—and a bigger bag of tricks.
Held at Tokyo Big Sight from late October into early November, it leaned hard into EVs, hydrogen and software, not just shiny sheet metal.
Headliners included Toyota’s FT‑Se and FT‑3e concepts, Mazda’s Iconic SP, Nissan’s wild Hyper Force, and the reborn Honda Prelude concept.
There were scooters, drones and robo-vans too, because why should cars have all the fun?
If you wanted a peek at where Japan’s car industry is steering the next decade, that was the pit lane.
