The Bentley Continental Supersports is the most driver focused Bentley in the company's history. Its based on the original Continental GT, and is Bentley's attempt to turn the plush, luxurious grand tourer into a roadgoing racecar. The two front seats are now carbon fibre shells, and the rear seats have been removed entirely; a carbon fibre strengthening beam sits in their place made the Supersports 80kg lighter. It is the extreme Bentley, a muscular two-seater that delivers supercar performance and a highly focused driving experience.

The inspiration for the 'Supersports' name is the 1925 Bentley Supersports, a race-bred version of the iconic Bentley 3-litre, that delivered 85 bhp when more ordinary cars were equipped with a modest 15 bhp. It was also the first production car to reach 100 mph extreme performance in its day.
