2022 DUCATI STREETFIGHTER V2 ROAD STREETFIGHTER CYCLE

DESCRIPTION

The Ducati Streetfighter V2, is essentially a stripped down Panigale V2. It's got the same Superquadro 955cc 153 hp 90-degree L-twin motor, and there's a few other design tweaks from the Panigale base design for Streetfighter mode, but make no mistake, there's still no doubting about the gene pool of both stablemates.

But, the ride is different, plus more importantly, the Streetfighter V2 has a Clarke Kent/Superman persona. Below 4000 rpm is the mild mannered Clarke Kent; the power is there but its 'normal'. Clarke Kent becomes Superman when you get it past 6000 rpm and on towards 11,000 rpm. This is the 'flying with wings' excitement zone where the Streetfighter's punchy torque (101Nm), agility, handling and stability come to the fore.

The Streetfighter V2 in Road mode is a comfortable and usable urban ride. It has impeccable manners, is more amicable and manageable for the bulk of the riding population out there. Plus it's not quite the license-killer that either of the Ducati 1103cc Panigale/Streetfighter V4's will gravitate you to. Additionally, the Streetfighter V2 can be a beast that can hold its own on the track. But the truth is that this is not where its heart is; it's a very, very good street bike for everyday use, and especially for a longer ride in the hills.
