Ah, the Allan Moffat Mustang—a legendary beast in Australian motorsport folklore. Allan Moffat, a Canadian-Australian racing icon, piloted various Ford Mustangs, notably the Boss 302 and the iconic Falcon Mustangs, dominating Australian touring car racing in the 1970s. The Mustang wasn't just a pretty face; it packed a 5.0-litre V8 engine churning out around 290 horsepower in race trim. Moffat's Mustangs are celebrated for their aggressive styling and ferocious performance, but keep in mind, these are vintage race cars, so finding one today means hunting through specialist auctions or platforms like Tradingpost. For specs and historical details, consulting official racing archives or motorsport history sites is your best bet.
