These heavy duty jumper leads do one job properly: deliver enough current, with low enough voltage drop, to crank a flat vehicle first go. Made in our Brisbane workshop from Weldflex fine-strand welding-grade copper cable, each set is built to the size, length and end fittings you choose, then terminated into heavy-duty, fully-insulated clamps — because on a jumper lead the clamp and the joint matter just as much as the gauge. A surge and reverse-polarity protection module is fitted as standard to help protect the electronics in both vehicles.
Choose the right cable size
Bigger engines — diesels especially — pull more starting current, so they need thicker cable to carry it without heating up or dropping voltage. As a guide:

Clamps or Anderson — your choice of end fittings
Pick the configuration that suits how you use them:

Clamps both ends — the classic jumper lead, with heavy-duty fully-insulated clamps for a strong, safe bite on both batteries.
Clamp + Anderson plug — plugs straight into a vehicle fitted Anderson jump point at one end and clamps to the other vehicle. The Anderson is sized to the cable automatically: a 175A Anderson on 35mm² and 50mm², and a 350A Anderson on 70mm².

Choose the right length
Length is about reach. A shorter 4m lead is easier to handle and store a longer 6m lead lets you start a vehicle you can park nose-to-nose, or reach a rear or second battery. Longer leads on the same gauge carry slightly more voltage drop, which is exactly why the larger cable sizes are offered right through the longer lengths.
