are roller shutters expensive Page 9

Roller shutters aren’t “second mortgage” expensive, but they’re not pocket change either.

New manual units typically land around AUD $900–$1,500 per window installed, while motorised setups are roughly AUD $1,200–$2,500 (premium or oversized jobs can nudge AUD $3,500+).

Used shutters can be a bargain—often AUD $150–$600 each—but factor in fitting and electrics, which can erase the savings faster than you can say “wrong size”.

Installation and wiring usually add AUD $300–$700 and AUD $200–$400 per unit respectively, plus any call-out fees.

If you want noise, heat and security benefits without the drama, buy quality once and get them installed properly; false economy rattles like a loose number plate.
