The BYD Atto 3 wears a 5-star ANCAP rating, which should soothe the nerves while you marvel at the door-bin dumbbells. Scores are strong: Adult Occupant Protection ~91%, Child Occupant Protection ~89%, Vulnerable Road User ~69%, and Safety Assist ~90%. There was a kerfuffle about child-seat instructions early on, but the rating stands, and the safety tech suite is properly generous for the money. In short: it’s as safe as your morning flat white feels necessary—Consult official documentation for exact figures.
