Short answer: no. Australia uses Type I plugs (AS/NZS 3112) with two flat pins in a V and often an earth; the UK uses Type G (BS 1363) with chunky rectangular pins and a built-in fuse.
Both run on 230 V, 50 Hz, so voltage is happy, but the shapes aren’t mates—use a proper travel adaptor, and ideally one with a fuse when heading to the UK.
If you need to bring appliances, check they’re rated for 220–240 V and pack an adaptor; a cheap one is fine, a safe one is better.
In short: voltage compatible, plug shape not—no amount of wiggling will make it fit.
