Override couplings are designed for trailers with a ATM between 750kg and 2000kg, where hydraulic or mechanical brakes are used. Featuring a sliding shaft body with a coil spring that gets compressed when the vehicle brakes, the compression of the spring activates both the mechanical or hydraulic style of brakes. For mechanical brakes this involves pulling the hand brake, while for hydraulic this pumps the fluid to the brakes. The quick release mechanism also allows for quick and easy connection to a 50mm towball. For extra security, there is a padlock facility to prevent detaching of the coupling. The sunrise override trailer coupling is ADR approved and tested with CTA number CTA-060194. Recommended to Use with 4 x 3.5 Long 1/2 Thick High Tensile Bolts (B31/2HTZ) for Mechanical brakes and 2 x 4 Long 1/2 Thick + 2 x 3.5 Long 1/2 Thick High Tensile bolt (B3/12HTZ + B4HTZ). Also compatible with 8.8 High Tensile M12 Bolts.
