baby seat anchor points Page 6

In Australia, baby seats must use a top‑tether anchor—no ifs, no buts—and ISOFIX is allowed only with seats approved to AS/NZS 1754.

If your car has ISOFIX lower anchors, you still use the top tether as well; that’s the Aussie way of keeping little noggins safe.

Anchor points live on the parcel shelf, seatback, roof or floor—check the owner’s manual, not the nearest luggage hook (that’s a hard no).

Many SUVs have three top tethers across row two, but utes and older models may have fewer, and third rows often have limited or no usable positions.

When in doubt, book an accredited fitter and arrive smug, because correctly routed straps beat guesswork every day of the week.
