back to the future lego

Ah, the delightful mashup of cinematic nostalgia and plastic bricks: Back to the Future LEGO sets. LEGO has indeed immortalised the DeLorean time machine, complete with gull-wing doors and flux capacitor, in a few exquisite sets. The most notable is the LEGO Ideas Back to the Future Time Machine (21303), featuring 401 pieces and detailed minifigures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown. Prices for new sets hover around $100-$150 AUD, while used sets can be scavenged on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for less.

If you're a fan of the franchise and enjoy a bit of brick-building therapy, these sets hit the sweet spot between playability and display. But beware: once you start, your shelves might resemble a time traveler's museum of plastic!
