A bent chassis on a Triton usually screams “too much weight, too far back,” often thanks to long trays, big canopies, or towing beyond the limits—hardly unique to Tritons, mind you.
Spot the clues before your wallet cries: look for ripples in the rails near the rear kick-up, uneven tray-to-cab gaps, doors that don’t shut cleanly, or a sagging tail.
If buying used, get a pro inspection and a chassis alignment report—cheap insurance compared to a new frame.
Prevention is simple physics: keep loads forward of the rear axle, stay within GVM and GCM, use a weight-distribution hitch when towing, and don’t treat “accessories” as invisible weight.
