The Bernedoodle is a delightful crossbreed between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle, combining the best of both worlds. These dogs typically weigh between 15 to 45 kilograms and stand about 45 to 70 cm tall, sporting a wavy or curly coat that's often low-shedding—perfect for those who dislike fur tumbleweeds. Expect a friendly, intelligent, and somewhat goofy companion with a lifespan hovering around 12 to 15 years. However, their size and energy levels mean they need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation; otherwise, you might find your shoes mysteriously disappearing.
For those hunting a Bernedoodle puppy or adult dog, check out PuppyList or Tradingpost, but beware of the usual crossbreed price ranges, roughly $2,000 to $4,000 AUD for a pup. Remember, adopting means commitment, not just Instagram fodder.
