best affordable dash cam australia Page 8

Hunting the best affordable dash cam in Australia? The sweet spot is reliable 1440p with GPS and a heat-tolerant capacitor, so think Viofo A119 V3, 70mai A500S (Pro Plus+), Garmin Mini 2, or Nextbase 322GW.

New, you’re looking at roughly AUD $120–$260; used units on Tradingpost often land between AUD $70–$150 if you don’t mind a box that’s seen more dashboards than a rideshare driver.

Prioritise capacitor power, QHD (1440p) or better, GPS, and a tidy hardwire kit so it records while parked without sulking your battery flat.

Avoid bargain-bin no-names—nothing says “useless evidence” like potato-quality footage and a clock that thinks it’s 1997.
