best car finance adelaide Page 7

Chasing the “best” car finance in Adelaide is like hunting a decent park on Jetty Road—possible, but you’ll work for it. Start by comparing the comparison rate (not just the headline rate), fees, and any balloon that sneaks in at the end; banks, credit unions, and online lenders often beat dealer finance on total cost. As at 2025, expect secured car loans to land roughly 6–12% p.a. comparison rate in Australia, with newer cars and squeaky‑clean credit at the sharp end. Get pre‑approval so you can haggle on the car, not the interest, and keep loan terms short—3–5 years keeps the sting down. If your boss offers a novated lease, run the numbers; it can be tax‑friendly, but fees vary wildly. And yes, a decent deposit and no add‑ons beats “free floor mats” every day of the week.
