best car yards melbourne Page 344

Asking for the “best” car yards in Melbourne is like ranking parmas—everyone’s convinced theirs is the holy grail.

Focus on yards with an LMCT number, 4.5‑star‑plus Google reviews (with lots of them), clean PPSR reports and full service history.

Do a cold start, a proper test drive, and get an independent pre‑purchase inspection; statutory warranty (if eligible) and Australian Consumer Law have your back.

Big hubs give you choice, but the small indies can be sharper on price—compare drive‑away numbers, not just windscreen tags.

Check timing belt/chain status, tyres and brakes, and when the next service is due; boring now, cheaper later.
