best lawn mower bunnings Page 6

Asking for the best lawn mower at Bunnings is like asking which ute is “best” — depends if your lawn’s a postage stamp or half a paddock. For small suburban patches (under about 150 m²), a cordless kit with a 36–42 cm deck and two batteries is the sweet spot: light, quiet, and blissfully fume-free. Medium to larger lawns or thick buffalo? Go for a 46–51 cm deck and either a 36–58 V brushless battery model or a 140–170 cc four-stroke petrol for grunt. Want bowling‑green stripes, not weekend shortcuts? A cylinder mower will oblige, but it needs regular grooming and costs more (roughly $900–$2,500). Budget ballpark: good battery kits $400–$1,200; solid petrol units $450–$1,300; and plan $150–$300 for extra batteries or a better catcher. Check weight, catcher size, mulch plug, and warranty — your back, your lawn, and your Saturday arvo will thank you.
