best new car finance Page 25

Chasing the best new car finance in Australia? Start by comparing the comparison rate, not just the headline interest—fees and charges hide in the fine print like seagulls at the servo.

Bank and credit union loans are usually straight-shooters, dealer finance can be fast but sometimes pricier, and a novated lease can work if you’re salaried and drive a lot.

Ask about balloon/residual amounts, early payout fees, and whether the term outlasts the car’s warranty—no one wants repayments after the honeymoon period ends.

Get pre-approval, keep the loan term short-ish, and run the numbers on total cost, not just the weekly bite; Moneysmart calculators are your friend, not your bank’s.
