Looking for the crème de la crème of public golf courses Down Under? Australia boasts a handful that won’t wreck your wallet or your soul. Royal Melbourne Golf Club (Public access via certain events) is legendary for its challenging layout and stunning heathland terrain. Victoria Golf Club offers seaside charm with a classic links feel. Don’t overlook New South Wales Golf Club in Sydney, famous for its cliffside views and tough greens. Prices vary, but expect around $50-$150 AUD for a round at these gems; used gear and memberships can be hunted on Tradingpost or CarShowroom. Remember, the grass isn’t always greener, but here it’s pretty bloody close.
