Looking for the best small EV in Australia 2023 is like choosing your favourite flavour of Vegemite—subjective with a few strong contenders. The MG ZS EV packs a punch with a 44.5 kWh battery offering around 263 km of range, and a wallet-friendly entry price near $45,000 AUD. Then there's the Hyundai Kona Electric boasting a longer 64 kWh battery and a range of up to 484 km, but it demands a heftier price tag around $60,000 AUD. Used EVs, like early Nissan Leafs or BMW i3s, can dip below $30,000 if you’re lucky. Check out CarShowroom or Tradingpost for a decent selection, but remember to factor in charging infrastructure and local incentives. Always give the official specs a squiz before handing over your hard-earned cash.
