best small suv under $30k australia Page 7

Under $30k in Australia, “small SUV” mostly means the sensible end of town—no leather thrones, but plenty of value.

Hyundai Venue: cheap to buy and run, easy to park, but modest power and basic cabin frills.

Mazda CX-3: sharp steering and classy interior, yet tight back seat and boot space.

Kia Stonic: tidy handling and a long warranty, though performance is mild and highway noise can intrude.

Mitsubishi ASX: roomy and often discounted, but ageing tech and so-so safety kit on lower trims.

MG ZS: big features-per-dollar and a comfy ride, countered by refinement and resale that aren’t class-leading.

Test the contenders back-to-back and buy the one that fits your commute and kids’ car seats, not the brochure fantasy.
