bmw servicing cost Page 42

BMW servicing in Australia isn’t quite “sell a kidney” money, but it’s not a sausage sizzle either.

Expect a basic annual/10–15k km service at an independent to land around $400–$700, or $600–$1,200 at a dealer. Major services with plugs, fluids and filters are often $1,000–$2,000.

• Brakes: pads and rotors typically $500–$1,200 per axle depending on model.
• ZF auto transmission service (fluid/filter/pan): usually $600–$1,000 if not “lifetime-filled”.
• Coolant, belts, and water pump on 4–6 cyl cars: budget $600–$1,200 as preventative maintenance.

M cars add a premium, and a dealer stamp can help resale; a good independent can halve the sting without skimping. Prices vary by model, engine and state, but that’s the ballpark—budget ahead and the dash’s little light show won’t ruin your weekend.
