Ah, BMW supercars—if by "supercars" you mean the likes of the M8 Competition or the i8 (now discontinued), you’re in for a treat. The BMW M8 Competition boasts a monstrous 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 pushing out around 615 horsepower, sprinting 0-100 km/h in about 3.2 seconds. The i8, on the other hand, was BMW’s cheeky hybrid sports car, blending a turbocharged three-cylinder engine with electric motors for a combined 369 horsepower and futuristic looks. New M8s will set you back around $300,000 AUD, while i8s can be found used between $120,000 and $160,000 AUD on sites like CarShowroom or Tradingpost. Neither is your typical Ferrari or Lamborghini, but BMW supercars offer a blend of tech, luxury, and blistering speed—if you’re into that sort of sensible madness.
