“Brown gas” is just oxyhydrogen (a mix of hydrogen and oxygen from electrolysis) dressed up with a top hat and a suspicious sales pitch. It burns hot and clean, sure, but the energy you get out was first put in via electricity, so it’s no free lunch for cars or power bills.
Claims of miracle fuel-saving HHO kits are not supported by credible testing, and in Australia you risk engineering, insurance and safety headaches for your trouble. As a specialty welding gas it has niche uses, but it’s also highly explosive and demands proper equipment and training. If you want efficiency, modern engines and proper tuning beat backyard bubbles every day of the week. Treat bold promises the way you treat unlabelled jerry cans: keep your distance.
