build a bear Page 20

Ah, the joyous ritual of 'build a bear'—not some brutal lumberjack task, but the whimsical art of crafting your own cuddly companion. At Build-A-Bear Workshop, you pick a fluffy bear (or other critter), stuff it with love (and polyester), and add a heart to make it special. Prices typically range from $30 to $60 AUD for a new furry friend, with accessories and clothing adding to the cost. Used bears can occasionally be found on PuppyList or Tradingpost for less, though the charm is in the fresh fluff.

It's a delightful way to indulge your inner child or gift someone a personalized plush pal. Just don't expect it to solve your adult problems—unless you count emotional support fluffiness.
