buying a used car in qld Page 2

Buying a used car in Queensland is like diving into a sea of metal sharks—exciting but fraught with hidden dangers. First, check the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) to make sure the car isn’t a dodgy repo or stolen. Expect prices for decent used cars to vary wildly—anything from $5,000 for a rust bucket to $30,000 for a reliable daily driver. Don’t forget to get a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection; a quick look won’t save you from future nightmares. Also, factor in the cost of registration, stamp duty, and insurance, which can add a few hundred to your wallet’s misery. For listings, sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom are your best mates. Remember, patience and a keen eye are your best weapons in the used car jungle!
